Yesterday we arrived in Mo’orea, French Polynesia. Absolutely beautiful island. Not much there as far as shopping (not that we wanted to) – just beautiful beaches, people, and dramatic, lush and rugged scenery of the mountains. The COVID years were hard on them. For two years they had no ships come to the island – no supplies at all – instead they went back to the land, they had community gardens and did without many conveniences. Our ship is the largest that has come to the island – I hope they did well from our short stop. We took a tour around the island, we ate bread fruit chips (they were delicious) and we saw many beautiful beaches and mountain scenes.
I mentioned we have formed a core group of friends sadly one of our friends has had a medical issue and they have had to leave the ship in Mo’orea and be helicoptered to Papeete, Tahiti to the hospital for tests. We are hopeful they will be able to get back on in Brisbane once they are cleared from the doctor.
There is no shortage of activities. I have been lucky in finding someone who knows quite a bit about watercolour so he teaching me on sea days.

What wonderful natural landscapes!
I absolutely adored Moorea and hope one day we can go back there. It is so tranquil and beautiful.
