Bali

update – still not 100%. Ian is out exploring Busan, Korea. I am touring the ship and my room. Finally figured out ho w to update on my iPad – that will make posting easier. If I am not feeling better by Seoul (about 3 days away) I have a referral to a specialist at the hospital.

We did many things in the few days we had in Bali. Went to a monkey forest, rice terraces, a beach in the evening where we had dinner and watched the sunset. Ian drank a cup of the most expensive coffee in the world. Luwak coffee is named after the little animal whose poop is collected to process the coffee. The Luwak loves to eat the raw coffee beans but they don’t digest them. The poop is collected, washed several times and then roasted. Ian ordered a cup – I had a sip – tasted like dark roast. It was an interesting tour. They provided us with many samples of coffee and tea. The Monkey Forest has approximately 700 monkeys living in the surrounding forest. The park feeds them fresh fruits – the roam freely – no fences or cages. They are not afraid of people at all. The rice terraces were beautiful. We had dinner at a beach and enjoyed the sunset. Posting many photos.
